noriware secures CHF 1.4 Million Innosuisse grant to advance sustainable packaging

Zurich – Swiss climate tech startup noriware AG, a leader in sustainable packaging solutions, has been awarded a CHF 1.4 million grant from Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency.

This funding marks a significant milestone in the development of a novel material compatible with existing plastic production machines, as outlined in a recent press release. By enabling seamless integration into current manufacturing infrastructure, noriware is driving the transformation of the packaging industry toward environmentally friendly alternatives.

Since its inception just two and a half years ago, noriware has secured a total of CHF 2.7 million in funding and investment, reflecting strong confidence in its potential to address the plastic crisis.

With plastic pollution posing an urgent global challenge, noriware is pioneering a sustainable solution: seaweed-based packaging made from 100% natural, home-compostable raw materials. Unlike conventional plastics, these materials leave no long-term ecological footprint and actively contribute to environmental regeneration.
