Welcoming Ben Stoddart-Stones to noriware

noriware recently welcomed Ben Stoddart-Stones to the team as Scale-Up Engineer.

Ben works across customer interactions, R&D, and production, supporting the scale-up of noriware’s seaweed-based packaging films and helping ensure they perform reliably as they move closer to real production environments.

With a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge, Ben brings a strong background in turning advanced materials research into practical solutions. After his doctoral work, he joined a startup focused on translating 2D materials research into industrial licenses. Over the past three years, he led sustainable materials initiatives at tms Worldwide, where he qualified new materials for McDonald’s supply chain and supported their global implementation.

What quickly stands out about Ben is his combination of technical depth and collaborative mindset. Outside the lab and production floor, he enjoys sailing and playing hockey, bringing the same sense of teamwork and curiosity to noriware that he applies to scaling sustainable materials.
